Stopped by a Habitat ReStore yesterday and saw a $300 faucet for $40
Was looking for cabinet handles and found a barely used Delta touchless faucet still in the box. The employees said it sat for two hours before someone grabbed it. Have any of you scored big at ReStore or other salvage spots?

That Delta will serve you well if you keep up with the battery changes. I've picked up a few things at ReStore over the years for my own house and what I've learned is don't wait around if you see something you want. The good stuff moves fast because contractors and flippers know exactly what they're looking at. My trick is to go on weekdays right when they open on delivery days, that's when the fresh donations hit the floor. Also, check the plumbing section for brass fittings and copper pipe scraps, they usually sell that stuff cheap by the pound. One thing to watch out for with those touchless faucets though, make sure the solenoid is still in the box and the wiring harness isn't cut up.

Weekday mornings are definitely the move for the good ReStore finds.
