Trim removal took me 3 days, not 3 hours

Thought I'd pop off baseboards in an hour before painting. First one split, second one had 15 years of caulk welded to the drywall. Ended up using a trim puller and a heat gun in my kitchen in Toledo, took all weekend. Anyone else budget for triple the time on stuff like this?
