Used a gallon of vinegar to clean my concrete patio and it turned a weird color

I mixed it 50/50 with water and scrubbed it with a stiff brush, expecting it to just look cleaner. The whole area dried to a patchy, chalky white that looks worse than the old dirt. Has anyone else had this happen and know how to fix it?
