Epoxy floor install went sideways after 3 hours, that cure time warning is no joke

Watched my buddy put down a garage epoxy kit last Saturday and we figured the 24 hour cure time was just to cover their butts. We walked on it after maybe 10 hours to move some shelving back in and now there's permanent shoe prints in 4 spots plus a tire mark from where he rolled his jack over it. He's gotta grind the whole thing down and redo it. I was skeptical about the temperature and humidity requirements on the can too, but they matter. His garage was like 65 degrees and we still messed it up. Anyone else ignore a cure time and regret it, or did we just get unlucky with a bad batch?
