My tile saw blade finally explained why my cuts kept chipping

I spent three weekends retiling my laundry room in Columbus and every single porcelain tile came out with tiny chips along the cut edge. I blamed the saw, the water flow, even my technique. Then I looked up the blade specs on a dusty old manual that came with the saw. Turns out I was running a continuous rim blade meant for soft ceramic, not a turbo blade for porcelain. Swapped to a $45 turbo blade from the local supply house and the very first cut was smooth as glass. All that frustration and wasted tile just came down to reading one paragraph on a paper I almost tossed. Have any of you ever found a fix like that hiding in the original packaging or manual?
