Question about tile layout. I've been using a 50% offset pattern for years, but a contractor friend in Charlotte just told me that's wrong for large format tiles. He says it causes lippage and you should never go over 33%.

3 years I've been hearing the same story from my guy in Greensboro... and my car still sounds like a dying lawnmower every time I start it up. @noahjenkins I think we all got played by the same smooth-talking mechanic. Honestly, at this point I'm convinced they all went to the same seminar on how to say "it's almost ready" with a straight face.
