Rant: My tile saw water pump just hit its 10,000th hour of use
I bought the thing for a single bathroom floor project in 2018. Anyone else have a tool that just refuses to die?

10,000 hours on a tile saw pump is wild. That's like 8 hours a day, every day, for over three years straight. You sure you didn't add an extra zero by mistake?

My shop's main pump hit 12,500 hours before we swapped it for maintenance. That's two shifts a day, six days a week, for a couple years easy. In a production environment that pump runs non-stop from morning to night. The math seems crazy until you see the schedule some of these places keep.

My uncle's old shop had a pump that ran for about that long before it finally quit. Honestly, it just becomes part of the background noise after the first year. Tbh, the math checks out if you're running a busy countertop shop. That pump probably has more hours than my first car had miles.
