Spent $400 on a cheap tile saw and regretted it immediately

Bought a no-name tile saw off Amazon to do my kitchen backsplash last month... first cut was fine, second one threw the blade guide out of alignment. Has anyone else had luck with the cheap saws or is it worth just renting the good ones from Home Depot?

Kinda wild nobody's mentioned checking if the arbor nut was even torqued right from the factory. Cheap saws ship with stuff finger-tight half the time, including the blade mount. A loose blade will throw everything off faster than any alignment issue.

Did you try tightening all the bolts down before you used it? I made that mistake once and my tile saw pretty much danced off the table on the third cut.
