Had to pick between a Trump rally or a county fair last Saturday, chose the fair

My buddy wanted me to go see Trump speak in Des Moines, but the county fair had a pie contest and a tractor pull. I went to the fair, ate a whole apple pie by myself, and watched a guy flip his tractor. Kinda regret not going to the rally though. Ever make a choice like that and wonder what you missed?

Got a buddy who dragged me to a state fair instead of a Bernie rally back in '16 and I spent the whole day eating fried butter and watching a hypnotist try to turn a chicken into a rabbit. The chicken just stood there. I still think about what it would've been like to hear Bernie yell about billionaires in person. But honestly I ate like six ears of corn and saw a pig race that day so I barely regret a thing. Sometimes you just gotta pick the funnel cake over the future of democracy.

Wait, are you me? I got dragged to a county fair over a primary debate in 2018 and ended up watching a goat stand on a tiny surfboard for like 20 minutes. @casey909, the corn on the cob and the weird animal shows somehow hit harder than any political speech ever could.
