I watched the border wall construction near El Paso from 2018 to 2020. The pace and scale of work changed completely after the funding fights started.

For me, the real change came when I started checking the CBP webcam feeds every morning. That let me track progress without relying on news reports. By comparing timestamps with funding headlines, I could match delays or speed-ups directly to the public arguments happening in DC.
