My cable guy quit mid install and left me with a hole in the wall

So I'm getting my internet set up in a new place and the tech shows up, 20 minutes in he's on the phone arguing with his boss about OT. Next thing I know he just leaves. No drill bit pulled out of the wall, no patch, no nothing. I got a 2 inch hole and no service for 3 days. Finally got a different guy from Spectrum to come back and he fixed it in 5 minutes. Anyone else ever had a contractor or service person just bail halfway through? What did you do when they ghosted you?
