Pro tip: that cheap ink cartridge i bought on ebay exploded all over my printer yesterday

I was printing out some campaign flyers in my home office in Phoenix and the knockoff toner cartridge from a random seller burst open, ruining the drum and costing me $120 to fix, and has anyone else had luck with aftermarket supplies or do you just stick with OEM?

cheaper toner clogs the drum like crazy" is an understatement. My cheap cartridge literally exploded ink all over the inside of my printer last week. Had to replace the whole drum assembly, cost me way more than just buying a real one upfront. Aftermarket toner is a gamble, and I learned the hard way it's not worth it for anything important. OEM all the way now, lesson learned.
