Ran into a guy at a diner who changed how I see Trump's whole deal
I was grabbing breakfast at this little place off Route 9 in New Jersey last Saturday, and this older dude sitting next to me at the counter starts talking about Trump. Not in a loud way, just casual. He said he voted for him twice and here's what stuck with me: 'He's the only politician who actually fights back when they come at him. Everyone else just takes it.' That hit me because I never really thought about it like that before. I mean, I've watched the rallies and all that, but hearing someone say it in person over eggs and coffee made it click different. He wasn't ranting or anything, just explaining why he feels Trump connects with regular folks. I asked him if he thinks Trump goes too far sometimes and he just shrugged and said 'that's the point.' Has anyone else had a moment where a random conversation made you see something about Trump in a new light?

Guess you gotta look at it from the angle of what it says about the people who hate him too. If fighting back is what makes him connect with folks, then the other side fighting dirty just proves his point for him. Every time someone tries to tear him down with legal stuff or media attacks, it kinda feeds into that whole 'they're all out to get me' story. Makes you wonder if the people who hate him the most are actually working against themselves by trying so hard. They give him exactly the kind of stage he wants. That dude at the diner might be onto something deeper than he even realized.
