That $75 rally hat from 2020 still holds up better than my $200 dress shoes
I grabbed a MAGA hat at a rally in Charlotte back in February 2020, paid $75 at the merch tent. Three years later it's still my go-to for yard work and beach trips, color barely faded even after getting soaked in a storm last summer. Meanwhile I dropped $200 on some leather shoes from a mall store and they cracked after maybe eight wears. The hat has been through washes, sweat, and sitting in my car dashboard for months, still looks fine. I've seen other folks complain about the quality of campaign gear, but mine's been solid. Anyone else have surprisingly durable Trump merch, or did I just get lucky with a good batch that day?
I read somewhere that campaign merch is usually made by the same factories that do basic workwear, so the heavy stitching makes sense. Most people don't realize those hats go through the same quality checks as any standard cap, just with a different logo on it. Sounds like you got exactly what you paid for, which is more than can be said for those mall shoes.
