Tried wearing a MAGA hat to work in Chicago last week

I work in a warehouse on the south side. Wore my red hat on break. Got three guys yelling at me. One guy just gave me a thumbs up from across the lot. The supervisor pulled me aside and said leave it in the car. I told him it's my right. He said it's his floor. Now I'm wondering if standing your ground is worth the hassle or if you pick your battles. What do you do when your job and your beliefs clash?

Wait, you actually spent money on a hat that you regret? I gotta hear this story because I just dropped forty bucks on a vintage Astros cap that was supposed to be "game-used" but turned out to be a knockoff from a souvenir shop. What did you buy that was dumber than a hat you're embarrassed to wear?
