Trump's 2016 rally in Raleigh felt more electric than the 2020 one I went to in Charlotte
I went to both events. 2016 at the convention center had this raw energy, people were fired up and it felt like a movement. 2020 in Charlotte was more structured, scripted even. The crowd was still there but something was different. The 2016 rally had about 10,000 people packed in and you could feel the room shake during his lines. 2020 felt like a rerun of a show you already saw. Has anyone else noticed a shift in the vibe between the two cycles?

2016 did feel like actual spontaneity and 2020 was just going through the motions.

Going through the motions" is exactly right. I was at the 2016 Raleigh one too and that place was electric. You could barely hear the chants over the crowd noise. But the 2020 Charlotte rally felt like they had a checklist. Every pause was timed, every chant was prompted. It was polished but it lost that wildcard feel that made 2016 so special. Did you notice the line delivery was way more rehearsed in 2020 too?
