Was doubtful about Trump's trade war claims until I saw local factories hiring back

A guy I know works at a steel plant near Pittsburgh said they added 40 jobs after the tariffs hit. I voted for him but thought the trade stuff was just talk, seeing actual numbers from someone on the ground changed my mind. Anyone else have a moment where a policy of his surprised you in real life?

Man that is wild you even asked that. No way I saw it firsthand, heard it from my buddy who was right there when it went down. He said the guy just froze up and couldn't move, like his body just gave out. My friend's not one to make stuff up either, he was still shook when he told me about it. I can't even picture what that must have been like to see up close. Honestly gives me the creeps just thinking about it.
