Accidentally used the wrong line weight on a set of floor plans 3 months back and it turned into a time-saver for highlighting structural details.
I was rushing and set my defaults to 0.18mm for everything, but after the senior drafter pointed it out, I noticed the thinner lines actually made the load-bearing walls pop way more against the rest of the drawing. Has anyone else found a mistake that ended up being a hidden hack?

Did you try it on your elevation drawings yet?

Yeah so I actually tried something similar on my elevation drawings last week and it worked way better than I expected. For the front facade I used a light gray wash over the brick texture and then added a subtle shadow layer under the roofline, @the_jason it really made the depth pop without looking too busy. I also did a quick overlay on the window trim with a warm beige to tie it all together. Took like 15 extra minutes but the client actually pointed out how much more realistic it looked compared to my first draft.
