Am I the only one who thinks digital drafting tools actually slow me down on small projects?
I spent 6 hours on a tiny kitchen reno layout in AutoCAD last Tuesday and my old paper-and-pencil method would've taken me maybe 45 minutes, so how do you guys decide when to stick with hand drafting vs going digital?

You mention "6 hours on a tiny kitchen reno layout" and I think the real issue is that digital tools trick you into overcomplicating things. When you're on paper you just draw the damn cabinets and move on, but AutoCAD makes you feel like you need to model every knob and hinge. Stick with hand drafting for any project where you can hold the whole thing in your head at once.

Ha, totally agree @miles277, I switched back to graph paper for small jobs and it saves me hours every time.
