Firmware update fixed my plotter offset issue, who else skips those update checks
Last Tuesday I had a 47-sheet set due Friday for a commercial build out. We loaded everything, hit print, and the first 12 sheets came out with these tiny offset lines that looked like a bad driver. I spent a whole day chasing the laptop, the cable, even the file. Turned out the plotter had a firmware update from March that fixed a stepping issue, and mine was from last November. Our CAD guy never checks it because he says "if it ain't broke." Updated it, reran the set, and it cut clean in 40 minutes. Has anyone else had a dumb software fix solve a hardware-looking problem?
