Found out my old drafting table is off by 1/16th of an inch after 20 years
I was checking a blueprint I drew in 2004 against a laser level and realized the table's surface has a slight dip in the corner I never noticed.

That "slight dip in the corner" thing would drive me CRAZY now that you know about it. I actually saw a similar story online where a woodworker's table was off and it messed up years of projects without them realizing.

Yeah that "drove me crazy" feeling is real, I had the same thing with my workbench. What worked for me was taking a level and some scrap wood to shim the low spots until everything sat flat. Now I check it every few months and it's saved me from more frustration later.
