Misread a roof truss detail on a commercial job in Boise last spring

I was drafting a set of roof truss layouts for a 40,000 sq ft warehouse and somehow missed a critical bearing point on page 3 of the structural drawings. The foreman caught it when the steel crew was already staging the first 20 trusses on site, which cost us half a day and a lot of awkward phone calls. Has anyone else had a print error slip through that everyone just assumed was right?

Boise spring 2023. That whole project was a mess with the truss layouts. I feel ya, we've all had one of those days.

Buddy had a truss collapse on him in Reno. Total nightmare.

Did anyone check if the truss design actually matched the engineer's drawings before they started loading it? I've seen a few jobs where the field crew just assumed the stamped plans were right and didn't verify the connections or bearing points during assembly. That mismatch is usually where collapses start, especially with complex layouts like you mentioned.
