PSA: Stop calling the dimension lines 'the numbers' when you're marking up a print

Wait, so what exactly are folks calling "the numbers" instead? Like, are they pointing at the actual tolerance values or the dimension text or the baseline coordinates or what? Had a guy on my last job who kept saying "check the numbers" and I finally figured out he meant the overall length dimensions but still couldn't tell if he was talking about the nominal or the plus/minus. Just trying to picture the specific mix-up you're seeing on the prints.

Oh man, I feel your pain on that. "Check the numbers" is one of those phrases that drives me nuts because it could mean literally anything on a print. I had a guy once who said that and I spent twenty minutes double checking the tolerance block before I realized he meant the hole callout positions. Like, just say what you mean, dude lol. It's wild how much time gets wasted guessing what someone's shorthand actually refers to.
