Senior drafter told me to stop using so many layers.

He said I was overcomplicating things with 30 layers on a simple electrical plan. Switched to just 5 main layers and a few xrefs, file size dropped like crazy. Anyone else get told to simplify their layer system?

Used to think more layers meant more control, but trimming down cleaned everything up way better than I expected. Made me rethink how I organize entirely.

Wait, does that mean you stripped down the layers or just moved them around? Cause flattening a few layers isnt the same as cutting them out completely, and thats what usually makes the difference. Feels like a lot of people confuse reducing with reorganizing and end up with the same mess just in a different order.
