The before and after of my drafting desk setup from 2 years ago is wild
I finally got around to cleaning out my home drafting corner last weekend and found a photo from 2020. Back then I had a rickety folding table, a busted lamp held together with tape, and my cat knocked over my scale ruler every other day. Now I got a proper adjustable desk, a LED magnifier lamp, and a cork board for all my reference prints. The difference makes me laugh but also wonder how I ever got any work done before.

Wait, is this really that big of a deal? I mean yeah the cat thing is funny but people act like not having a fancy desk is holding back their whole career. When I was a kid my dad did all his work on the kitchen table with a single desk lamp and he got just as much done as anyone else. Truth is most of us are just complaining about stuff that doesn't matter half the time. The real question is did your drawings actually get better or did you just spend money on nicer furniture.
