Tried a new corner technique on a commercial print job in Austin
I was working on a big set of blueprints for a hotel lobby renovation and decided to try back-cutting my fillet corners at 22.5 degrees instead of 45. Took me about 15 minutes extra per frame but the joints came out way tighter with zero gaps. Has anyone else experimented with odd angle cuts for picture frame moulding?

My buddy tried this on a small frame job and it worked great for him too.

Wait, are we really talking about this like it's some groundbreaking thing? I mean, it works fine for small stuff but I wouldn't bet a whole house on it. @oliver_mitchell, you really went back and re-did your own work over this?

Used to be pretty skeptical about this whole approach. Watched a buddy do it on a little addition and it came out cleaner than anything I've ever done with the old method. Made me go back and redo a few things on my own place just to see if I could get the same result. Changed my mind completely after spending an afternoon trying it myself.
