Tried taping my splices at a 45-degree angle on a big piping project last week

I always just did straight tape wraps, but angling it actually kept the tape from peeling up when I rolled the drawing. Has anyone else found a weird little adjustment like that which saved them time?

Was the 45-degree tape more for aesthetics or did it actually hold better through the paper folds?

yeah @walker.jana i used to think the 45 degree thing was just making it look nice. like it wouldn't really matter if you did straight strips. but i tried it on some origami wrapped boxes and the corners stayed down way better. the tape kind of grabs into the folds instead of just sitting on top. i was totally wrong about it being just for looks.
