Wasted 3 days learning a new CAD software that was a total dud

Downloaded a free trial of that 'super intuitive' drafting program everyone was hyping online. Spent 3 days trying to make a simple floor plan and it kept crashing on me. Anyone else get burned by software that looked good but was basically unusable?

Used to think all CAD was pretty much the same under the hood, just different buttons. That was naive. Tried that 'DraftSight' or whatever it was called, spent a whole weekend trying to get a simple building section to stop glitching out. Completely changed my mind about just grabbing whatever free trial pops up first.

Evan nailed it, that whole "all CAD is the same under the hood" thing really gets you into trouble. I fell for that with some free architecture app that promised the moon, but it would freeze every time I tried to add a wall. You really gotta do your homework before sinking time into these trials, lesson learned the hard way.
