Bought a cheap bucket tooth from a roadside vendor near Mobile...
It was supposed to be a quick fix for my old ladder dredge. The thing sheared clean off after maybe 20 hours of digging in that heavy clay. Cost me $85 for the part and then another half day of downtime pulling the ladder to put a proper one on. I probably lost $1200 in production waiting on the right part to get shipped in. Always figured you could save a few bucks on the small stuff... lesson learned the hard way. What's the worst knock-off part you've ever been burned by?

Used to buy cheap hydraulic hoses until one blew and sprayed hot fluid everywhere.

Boy, that's a hard way to learn why you don't skimp on hydraulic parts.
