Finally fixed my cutterhead chatter issue, only took 8 hours

Been fighting vibration in my 14-inch cutterhead for two weeks. Thought it was bearings, replaced them, still bad. Turns out it was a worn shear pin that was just barely off. Took me 8 hours of pulling things apart and running test cycles in the yard near Baton Rouge before I spotted it. The pin looked fine until I held it next to a new one, then the wear was obvious. Has anyone else had a similar hidden wear problem that made no sense at first?
