Got told my berm was too steep by a county inspector in Biloxi

I was working a drainage canal job near the Biloxi River last month and felt pretty good about my cut. County inspector rolls up, takes one look, and says 'this slope falls apart on the first good rain with a 3-to-1 ratio.' I had to go back and flatten it out to a 4-to-1, cost me an extra half day of running the bucket. Has anyone else had to adjust their angle based on local regs you didn't know about?

You ever try just asking the county office before you start to save the headache?

Man that's frustrating, I feel your pain on getting blindsided by local regs. Nothing worse than having to redo work you already had buttoned up just because some inspector has a specific number in mind.
