Had to choose between a 200-foot dredge hose and two 100-footers yesterday

Was working a small pond job near Richmond and my usual setup wouldn't fit. Picked the two shorter hoses cause I thought it would be easier to move around. Ended up fighting with couplings every 20 minutes and lost a good hour of digging time. Shoulda just gone with the single long hose and dealt with the weight. Has anyone else had better luck with one long hose over joining a bunch of short ones?

Man I used to swear by multiple short hoses but that coupling fight you described totally changed my mind.
