I finally had a perfect week on the river after 4 years of this
Last Tuesday was the worst day I ever had. Clogged cutterhead at 6am. Hydraulic leak by noon. Got yelled at by the survey crew for missing a mark. Wednesday started worse. Then Thursday morning the weather cleared. Water was perfect. Sediment just moved right through. Pulled 2,800 cubic yards in 8 hours. No breakdowns. No drama. Friday was almost the same. Best two days I ever had on a dredge. Anyone else ever have a week that flipped that hard?

Yeah @taraw16 you nailed it. I think that's just how life works in general - you slug through the garbage days and then out of nowhere you get a couple perfect ones that make up for everything. It's like the universe has a weird sense of balance or something.

Funny how life works like that sometimes... you sit through days of garbage just to get those two perfect ones. It's like the universe decides you've earned it all at once. Reminds me of how my garden goes every summer - weeks of fighting weeds and bugs, then suddenly everything blooms at the exact same time. The bad stuff just fades away when the good stuff finally shows up.
