Shoutout to the old timer who told me to check my suction line first
Was on a job in Mobile last Thursday. Pump kept cavitating. Spent two hours messing with the impeller. He walked over, pointed at the suction hose. There was a crushed section right by the intake. Fixed it in 20 seconds. Ever have a simple fix make you feel dumb after?

Two hours messing with the impeller" - man, that's exactly the problem right there. Folks today are way too quick to tear into the complicated parts without doing the basic checks first. I bet if you'd walked the job site for five minutes before touching anything, you'd have spotted that crushed hose plain as day. But nope, everyone wants to be a hero with wrenches and screwdrivers instead of using their eyes first. Old timer probably seen that same exact thing a hundred times and knows the simple stuff fails way more often than the fancy parts. Just saying.
