Trying to keep peace with a neighbor mad about dredge noise

We run our dredge near a residential area and start at dawn. My next door neighbor barged into the site yesterday, really angry about the engine sound. I told him we have to work these hours for the tide, but he just complained more. How do you guys deal with people living close by who hate the noise? Looking for some real world tips, lol.

Ever think about just leaving a box of earplugs on his doorstep? Honestly, some people just pick a fight with the sunrise. Maybe he'll move once he realizes the tide doesn't care about his beauty sleep.

Saw my friend leave earplugs for her neighbor who kept complaining about morning birds. Honestly, the guy just got angrier about the whole situation. Tbh, some people pick fights because they enjoy being mad.
