Dropped a full bucket of mud on a finished floor in a $2 million house last week

I was working on a ceiling in a custom home out in the suburbs, doing the second coat. Somehow my boot caught the edge of my mud pan and that whole 5 gallon bucket just tipped over and splattered everywhere on this dark hardwood floor. My heart stopped for a second. I just grabbed my wide taping knife and started scraping it up fast before it dried, then hit it with a damp sponge. Took me like 45 minutes to get it all clean and the homeowner walked in right when I was finishing up. She just looked at the floor and said "smells like joint compound in here" and left. Has anyone else had a close call like that on a floor they thought was ruined?

Honestly I doubt she even noticed the floor, mud dries light and wipes off easy.
