Hot take: I spent 6 months mudding with the wrong knife size in Denver
After a contractor pointed out my tapered joints were wavy, I switched from a 6-inch to a 12-inch knife and suddenly everything flattened out, so has anyone else stubbornly picked the wrong tool for years before a pro set them straight?

Your buddy ever figure out why he stuck with the wrong tool that long? My friend in Phoenix spent two years using a 4-inch knife for everything because he thought bigger blades were just for pros, not for making his life easier. A drywall vet finally showed him how a 10-inch would save his wrists and flatten joints, and he never went back.

I mean, that right there about saving his wrists is what people don't get. A 10-inch really does all the work for you.
