Hot take: I used to sand every joint twice until a pro showed me the one-pass method last week
I spent 3 years doing two sanding passes on every drywall job because I thought it was the only way to get a smooth finish. Last Tuesday, an old timer at the supply house told me to just use a 220 grit screen and a firm touch on the first go, and my last bedroom came out flawless with zero extra dust. Has anyone else switched to a single sand and found it works just as good?

A 220 grit screen on the first pass? That sounds like sorcery, I've been using 150 like a caveman for ten years.

220 grit actually clears easier for me tbh
