I finally switched from a banjo to a stillson for my corner boxes and I'm never going back

After 6 years of fighting with a banjo for inside corners, I grabbed a stillson from my buddy's truck on a job in Decatur. First corner I hit, I got it done in half the time with way less mud mess. The banjo was always spitting or bunching up on me. Has anyone else made the swap and felt like an idiot for waiting so long?

Are you kidding me? That banjo was the worst tool ever for corners. I switched to a stillson last year and it was like night and day. No more mud blobs or constant cleanup. My work got way cleaner and faster. I just wish I had done it sooner instead of wasting time with that stupid banjo thing.

I mean, I get that the banjo can be a pain for corners, but "worst tool ever" feels a bit harsh. Have you ever tried one of those little rubber corner tools? I picked one up at a hardware show a few years back, and it's kind of weird at first but it actually does a solid job on tight spots without the mud blobs. Idk, maybe it's just me, but the banjo is still my go-to for long straight runs, I just switch it up for the tricky parts. The stillson thing sounds intriguing though, I might have to mess around with one and see if it clicks.
