Mixing mud by feel instead of measure saved my bacon on a rush job last week

I learned to mix mud by eye after messing up a few times at the start.

You ever have one of those days where the measuring cup is your worst enemy? I once added so much water I made mortar soup instead of mud. Now I just eyeball it and hope for the best, seems to work out fine.

My grandma never measured flour for pies, just went by texture.
