Dropped $200 on a heat sealer for poly bags - complete waste
Thought I'd speed up my packing process by grabbing a handheld impulse sealer from Uline. Worked great for about 50 orders then the heating element just died. No warranty, no replacement parts. Back to using twist ties now. Anyone found a sealer that actually lasts more than a month?

A handheld impulse sealer dying after 50 orders sounds about right, those things are basically glorified paper shredders with a heating wire. You probably could have got the same results with a $10 bag of twist ties and some patience, no need to drop two bills on a gadget that breaks when you look at it funny. If you really want to seal bags fast, grab a cheap food saver style vacuum sealer from a thrift store or just use a lighter on the bag edges like a savage.

Used to think spending more on a sealer meant better quality, but that Uline experience sounds exactly like what I went through. Mine died after a few weeks too, and the company acted like that was normal. Twist ties might be slower, but at least they don't quit on you after 50 orders.
