Hot take: setting up Google Ads takes way longer than anyone admits

I spent 6 weeks just getting my campaign structure right for my candle shop in Austin, and I still had to redo half of it after launch... Everyone talks about how fast you can get results but nobody mentions the back and forth with the platform. Has anyone else burned a ton of time just on the setup phase?

Yeah, that "it only takes a weekend to set up" advice is a joke. I've found that the keyword research alone can chew up a week if you're doing it right, and then you have to test everything. Save yourself some headache and build negative keyword lists from day one.

Ngl the whole "weekend setup" thing is basically the "I'll just watch one episode before bed" of the marketing world. By Sunday night you're crying into your analytics wondering where your life went wrong.
