I stood there counting his cash and finally GRASPED why product photos with real hands holding things convert way better than flat lays, has anyone else noticed the same jump from just changing one image style?

and it's wild how that same principle plays out everywhere, like at restaurants where videos of sizzling food always get more orders than a still photo of a plate. we're just wired to trust things that look like they belong in real human lives, not a catalog page. makes you wonder how many other little tweaks we're missing that could change everything, right?

You know what, I used to think those sizzling videos were just gimmicks, I never really bought into it. But then I saw a study, I think it was from some lab at Cornell, where they showed footage of a steak cooking and people actually reported it tasting better than just a picture of it. Changed my whole way of looking at it, honestly it made me realize how much our brains just latch onto anything that feels real and alive.
