Burned out on Whyte Ave last Saturday but turned it around

I was dead set against ever going to the farmers market on 104 Street... thought it was all overpriced soap and hipster jam. Then last Saturday I actually walked through and grabbed a $9 bag of fresh dill pickles from that Polish couple near the end. Has anyone else had a random day downtown that totally changed their mind about something local?

Right on, that pickle guy is legit. Found a killer chess set at a garage sale I drove past for years.

Thought it was all overpriced soap and hipster jam." That's exactly what I said about the Old Strathcona antique store on Gateway. Hated it for years. Finally went in last month because my girlfriend dragged me. Found a 1970s lamp with a lava lamp inside it. Like a lamp-ception. Paid 40 bucks. Now I'm obsessed with that stupid thing. Changed my whole view on secondhand shopping.
