Showerthought: Does the city actually care about fixing potholes or is it just a PR move?
I spent 45 minutes stuck on 99th Street last week waiting for a patch crew to show up on a massive crater near the Whitemud off-ramp. Took them 3 days to fill it after my complaint. Half the time I see them patching the same spots over and over - is it bad planning or just budget cuts? Anyone else feel like we're just getting a band aid fix?

Push back a little here, @hannah_williams. Band-aid fixes are cheaper up front, sure, but they end up costing more in the long run when the same crater swallows another tire three weeks later. I watched them fill a spot on 99th Street with cold patch last spring, and it was dust by July. It's not just budget cuts - it's planning that only cares about the next city council meeting, not next winter.
