Was skeptical about that indoor farmers market at the old armory
I passed by the Old Strathcona Farmers Market for months thinking it was just overpriced jam and crafts. Finally went in last Saturday and bought a $8 bag of local carrots that actually tasted like carrots. Anyone else had a surprise find there?

That $8 carrot thing hits on something weird I've noticed lately - the more processed and convenient food gets, the less it actually tastes like food. I grabbed a bag of those carrots myself last month and my roommates made fun of me for getting excited about a vegetable. But it's wild how something that simple and local can totally wreck the grocery store version for you once you try it.
