Just heard a realtor talking about a house in Glenora that went for way over asking
I was grabbing coffee yesterday and overheard two agents at the next table. One said a place on 102nd Avenue in Glenora listed at $1.2 million got 12 offers and sold for over $1.5 million in three days. They said the buyers waived the inspection and everything. It made me think that if you're looking in those hot central areas, you might need to be ready to move crazy fast and make a really strong offer right now. Has anyone else seen this kind of bidding war on a place they wanted?

Yikes, that's wild. I tried to buy a condo last year and my big power move was offering to let them keep the ugly curtains. Waiving an inspection on a million dollar house feels like agreeing to marry someone before your first date. My budget and my nerves could never handle that market.

Right? I did the same thing with a fridge that smelled like old fish. Felt like a genius move but then the roof leaked six months later. Some people have way more money than sense.
