PSA: paid $250 for a home inspection that missed a leaking poly-B pipe in the basement
Found the water damage myself two months later after moving into a house in Sherwood Park, and now I'm wondering if anyone else has had luck getting a partial refund from an inspector who missed something obvious.

Yeah that's brutal, I had a similar thing happen with a roof inspection in Edmonton a couple years back. The guy said my shingles were fine and then I found a leak in the attic during the first heavy rainstorm. I ended up taking him to small claims court and got half my money back plus the cost of the repair. Took forever though, like four months of back and forth.

Man, that's rough. Four months of back and forth sounds about right for the "justice" system, @gavin_kim3, but hey, at least you got something back instead of just eating the whole cost.
