That week in 2016 when I sold 3 houses in 5 days and thought I was a genius

Back in spring 2016 I had this crazy stretch where I listed a bungalow in Mill Woods on a Tuesday, got an offer Wednesday, then two more buyers came out of nowhere for other properties I had sitting. By Friday I had three firm deals. I thought I had cracked the code. Looking back it was just the market heating up before the oil crash later that year. Now I know better than to think I'm some kind of master when things go good. Anyone else have a week that made you feel like a rockstar but turned out to just be dumb luck?

That week sounds like a real rush! Had a similar thing happen to me back in 2013 when I sold two used cars in one afternoon and thought I was a sales god. Turns out it was just tax return season and everyone had money burning a hole in their pocket. The next month I couldn't sell a rusted bicycle to a scrap yard.

Are you sure it's really that serious though? I mean, timing and luck play a huge part in just about any sale... half the time you could be the best salesman in the world and still strike out. @gray_schmidt8, that rusted bicycle bit made me laugh though, reminds me of when I couldn't give away an old lawnmower for free on Craigslist last summer. People are just weird like that sometimes, one week they're buying everything and the next they're hoarding cash under their mattress.
