Had to pick between a $40 meter and a $400 Fluke last week
I was at the supply house and needed a new multimeter after my old one got crushed on a job site. The cheap one had all the same features on paper but the Fluke felt solid in my hand. I went with the Fluke because I figured it's a tool I use every day and I didn't wanna deal with false readings. Been using it for a week now and it's spot on, no regrets. Any of you guys had a cheap meter screw you over on a job?

And once you get used to that solid feel, ain't no going back to the rattly plastic ones.

Got my old steel frame road bike from the 80s and won't touch anything else. The whole thing just feels planted and stiff when you hammer on the pedals. Plastic bikes feel like they're gonna flex and snap under you. Once you feel that solid connection to the road, everything else feels wrong. No creaks, no weird shimmies just smooth power transfer.
